Dusky is the sweetest natured girl, unless you are a bird!!! Her temperament she get's from her Dad. She is a born posser and just knows how beautiful she is, get a camera out & she's there. Dusky won BEST IN SHOW at the West Of England Collie Society show in 2003 & repeated this success by going BEST IN SHOW again in 2006. She has numerous Best Of Breeds & Best In Group wins to her credit & has gained her SHOW CERTIFICATE OF MERIT the ONLY Collie in Cornwall to do so until in 2008 her daughter "Easter" also won her ShCM at just 18mths old. Dusky has also gained the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards. In 2007 just 12 weeks after having her babies Dusky was bitten twice by an Adder (poisonous snake) while out on a walk & came as close to death as she possibly could have been, within 3 minutes of being bitten she collapsed & was barely taking 3 breaths a minute despite her heart rate being up at 150 beats per minute. In the day's & weeks that followed she went into complete organ failure & my vet didn't think she would pull through because she was suffering from the worst reactions he had ever seen. It was the worst time of my life to watch her suffering & not being able to help in any way BUT my SPECIAL GIRL must have seen how empty my life would have been without her in it & fought every battle that lay in front of her to come out the other side a living miracle, just like her son Telford she has the spirit to fight & live on. I LOVE you so much Dusky & THANKYOU for staying with me.
